This is a mod intended for the soon to be released game from CodeMasters called Operation Flashpoint 2: Dragon Rising. The mod will be called Mwindaji Expeditions. Mwindaji is Swahili for \'hunter\'.
Details:
Mwindaji Expedition will virtually create different hunting clubs & lodges with their own hunting grounds of various terrain types and game animals; and accompanying firing ranges with unique range and target types. Numerous weapons will be available to own as well as choice weapons that will only be available by winning online shooting competitions and special hunting expeditions.
- Each individual firing range located at each hunting club/lodge will have the typical stationary and moving targets for practice in addition to a specialty target practice specific to each club/lodge. Many matches will be held to see who the \"best of the best\" is amongst different weapon classes (pistol, smg, shotgun, rifle, etc.) and course types. Gravity and wind will be one of those features that you will have to master to get the edge on your opponents in long range competitions.
·Scenario: In a 16 player sample server running the mod there could be 10 people competing in a shooting competition trying to win a prize hunting rifle (Supermagnum .338 Lapua Custom Match) while the other 6 are increasing their \'skill\' by target practicing with the numerous other choices of weapons they have already won and own. Each player then would have his/her own personal weapon collection based on what online shooting matches he/she enters and win. Competitions would range from: typical stationary/moving targets for long range, hand gun, shotgun, submachine gun, etc. to obstacle courses and timed competitions.
- After you have had enough of fraternizing, target practice, and competition shooting you could throw on some camo and go to some of your favorite hunting spots the particular hunting club/lodge has to offer. Hunt some game such as gazelle, zebra, wildebeest, impala, spurwinged geese, quail or even some exotics such as water buffalo or African hippopotamus with the choice customizable weapons you own.
- Each hunting club/lodge will have its own expansive hunting area with different terrain types such as woodlands, marsh, savannah, plains, jungle, etc.
There are many, many other features and additions such as:
-individual or team (clan) matches in shooting competitions and hunting tournaments.
-your own trophy room to show off your latest hunting prizes and personal firearms collection acquired through competitions, which also serves as a portal into the online world of Mwindaji Expeditions mod.
-choose between single and multi-player missions and competitions to increase your skill or choice prizes.
-plus much more are
planned for future releases, but will have to wait until the team is gathered and can tackle for the first release. We will be very involved with the community and will, of course, get their opinion on what should be added to the mod as well.
