Back to OFP after 8 years!

Hey guys, I have not played OFP for like 8 years now. But back in the day I used to create a lot of mods and even got into scripting a bit.
I have just installed it all over again and im looking forward to playing through the series and then finally try my new OFP2 I got the other day!

But I am wondering about a few things..

There was a site back in 2001-02 that was really big and had tens of thousands of mods. I cannot remember the damn name but it was the daddy back then. I would like to know if its still going?

Also, I really really would like to improve the graphics of OFP: CWC before I start playing it again, I have tried that FFUR mod but for some reason I cannot get the new tree's to work. Is there anything that adds tree's and grass and makes the terrain look more realistic? Everything else doesnt really matter to me, but the terrain looks bloody terrible by todays standards and I really want to enjoy playing it again!

Are there any "essential mods" you would recommend also?
